educational specialist for Discovery Creek Children’s Museum, as well as the executive director of the Best Friends Foundation. These organizations established her interests in issues related to the environment and social justice for children in the arenas of health, wellness and education.
Ms. Monash is the current vice chair of the board for Friendship Place, board of trustee member for the DC Public Library, member of the Alumni Advisory Council for The River School, founding member of Women in Infrastructure, former treasurer of the District of Columbia’s Commission for Women, as well as a dedicated volunteer to many other causes and organizations.
Ms. Monash earned her bachelor’s degree from Mount Vernon College in Washington, DC. She lives in The District of Columbia with her husband and their two sons.
